25 Dec Have You Got Your Christmas Giveaway?
Hey, have you got your personal giveaway for this Christmas? Did you participate in this years Black Friday sales? Whichever place you stand, I’ve got something for you.
I believe Christmas is a miracle, and only those who truly understand the motive, method and meaning of the birth of Jesus Christ would experience their own miracle. My miracle came the moment I did not communize the gift of Christmas. Your miracle is next as you follow me as I open your eyes to unwrap your own gift.
Before December 2017, Christmas was a time when we celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ with family and friends. We cooked lots of food and even shared (and received from) with friends and neighbors. It was a time we chose to either go for Christmas service in church or not. It was generally a day to be happy. The idea was that Jesus Christmas was born for the salvation of our souls and we have a holiday to celebrate it however way we choose to. Don’t get me wrong, it is always a fun holiday.
I really mean it when I say it is a fun holiday, but looking now from the outside in, I would feel really guilty if I don’t share with you the moment in time when Christmas changed my life. It was an introspective time that gave me a life-changing result. It was the first time the Story of nativity came alive with a depth of meaning in my being.
You may wonder, is it not the same Mary and Joseph Story? I assure you it is. The only difference is the approach to which it came at me. Matthew 1:18-25 relays an account of Mary’s engagement to Joseph as well as the couple’s angelic visitation about the coming of the Son of God, whom we celebrate today.
From Chapter two of the same book, we are given an account of the birth of Jesus. It is in this Chapter I received my miracle. It was in the understanding of this scripture that I understood the importance of the process of bringing forth the Son of God to the earth – the motive, means and meaning.
The prophesy of the messiah was to be fulfilled and Mary and Joseph had accepted to be the channels through which He would come. The coming of Jesus Christ was God’s way of redeeming man back to Himself ‘once and for all’. This motive had to be done with certain specifications. One of which was the place of His birth.
A peculiar and very compulsory census was ordered by Caesar Augustus to ensure that everyone in the Empire was paying their taxes correctly. The census was carried out all over Empire and families had to register in the their historical tribal town rather than where they lived. This also meant that Joseph and the very pregnant Mary would have had to travel from Nazareth to Bethlehem, as this was town that Joseph’s family (the royal family of David) originally came from – a journey of about 70 miles (112 kilometres).
The journey would have taken about three days and they might well have arrived in the evening, because if they had arrived earlier in the day, it is more likely that they would have found somewhere to stay.
In this story the birth of Jesus was an important detail in the purpose of the human race and so I realize that for every purpose of our life, we must be able to come into the right place and position.
This shows that as long as there is a said prophecy over your life, nature can come together -in form of what some people call coincidences- to make sure destiny is fulfilled.
When the birth of Jesus was prophesied to be at Bethlehem, how it would occur was not stated. So, as long as your destiny has a divine hovering, the heavens and the earth ar aware of it and would cooperate to your destiny fulfillment if only you can pray your way through.
Pray. Until. Something. Happens. Call into being the very words that have been spoken over your life. Denounce every negative words and thoughts that may have been spoken in your past and fight for your destiny. It is the best Christmas giveaway you could ever ask for.
